Course Description: Pre-calculus provides students a complete study of trigonometry, as well as advanced algebra topics, analytic geometry, sequences and series, functions, and data analysis. Applications and modeling will be included throughout the course of study. Appropriate technology, from manipulatives to graphing calculators and application software, will be used regularly for instruction and assessment. This course will also prepare you for AP Calculus. Unit 4 Trigonometric Functions This unit introduces the properties of the circle, angle measurements, as well as the basic trigonometric properties. This unit heavily uses the calculator to solve problems involving the trigonometric properties and identities. 1. Measures of Angles and Rotations. L.M. 5-1 2. Lengths of Arcs and Areas of Sectors.
